Tell me who are you:
Hello, my name is Juan DiGirolamo and I live in the mountains of Colorado USA. In 2020, I will retire after 35 years in finance and operations for various technology companies in California and Colorado. After retirement, I followed my passion for storytelling.
When did you main want to write a book?
When I was 21 I wanted to write a book and I hoped to be the next John Grisham or Stephen King. Spent 6 months writing a long novel and finding an agent. Eventually I was able to find an agent to represent me, but failed to pique publishers’ interest. This was before the Internet, so self-publishing was out of the question, and I decided I would use the accounting degree to get a real job. I couldn’t publish this amazing book Fast forward 35 years and I’m back at my keyboard writing amazing stories about ordinary people.
When did you decide to start writing?
I started writing soon after I retired and decided that I didn’t want to write fiction but to find a subject and write stories about other people and their experiences.
How long did it take you to get your first book from concept to publication?
took me a year write and publish my first book (307 pages). These aren’t badges, they’re stories that show the human side of the police force with six provincial agents.
How long did your latest book take to go from concept to publication?
My latest book is Not About Predators: A Parent’s Guide to the Internet and the Internet. Social Media Safety is 30 pages long and only took me a month to write because I had already done a lot of raw data and research by the time I finished the second book.
Focus on your latest version. What inspired you to write This Is Not A Predator?
I presented my second book, It’s Not About the Sex, which tells the true story of human trafficking from four different perspectives: attorneys, law enforcement officers, survivors, and brothel owners. I get a lot of questions about how criminals target teenagers online, and I understand that they use similar tactics when they want to exploit someone online or through human trafficking. I wanted to make it easy to read, practical

What was your most challenge writing It’s Not toward the Predator?
There is a lot of data and I had to focus on writing a guide, not a research paper. So I’ve made it simple and short.
How did you collect information regarding “He’s a Hunter”?
I reviewed research and spoke with several police officers about the dangers children and youth face online. I also talked to teenagers.
It’s not about forming predators. How do you design?
I have divided the book into topics that I think parents may find useful:

Did you get editing help and how many edits did “It’s Not Predators About” require?
Since the book is only 30 pages, it was easy to edit it myself.
What is the first piece of writing advice you would give to someone inspired to write a book?
Write a book because you want to. Few people are richer than him.
Can you tell me what book you want to write next?
I am currently writing on another serious topic and I am focusing on stories of people fighting evil. The first chapter is about an undercover cop who poses as a 13-year-old on the Internet and meets people at a motel to arrest them. . The identity of the rest is not yet known.

It’s so nice when a complete stranger contacts me to tell me how much they enjoyed my book or to say, “I couldn’t stop!”
