Heroic is the most recent addition to the Room 8 Group’s portfolio of brands. It was previously housed within Room 8 Studio as the Trailers & Cinematics division.
Heroic Trailers
Heroic is a new studio that will focus on high-end trailer production for PC, console, and mobile games. Heroic Trailers is the creation of Room 8 Group, a global leader in external art production and game development.
Sandy Heslop, an experienced 3D animator, previs artist, and VFX supervisor with 20 years of experience in video games, film, television, and advertising, is in charge of Heroic’s creative team. More than 40 artists, storytellers, and technicians work on CG, cinematic trailers, and in-game cutscenes for the team at the moment.
The Heroic Team’s list of projects includes trailers for Legendary, Empires & Puzzles, and DomiNations: Outfire, Power Rangers, Merge Dragons, and Game of Heroes: Superior, Legacy Wars, and other games. The team has produced 450 trailers for 25 games in collaboration with more than 15 publishers over the past few years.
Sandy Heslop
According to Sandy Heslop, Head of CG at Heroic, it has been an exciting journey to oversee the transformation of Room 8 Studio’s Trailers & Cinematics Unit into a full-fledged brand. For the years 2023 to 2025, Heroic Trailers has a comprehensive plan that includes working with the most recent cloud technologies to support pipelines and workflows and enhance their capabilities. Sandy stated that it is thrilling to be a part of such a creative environment filled with ambitious, talented, and experienced artists, and that she is proud to be in charge of the studio’s creative processes.
Sviatoslav Pohrebnoi
According to Sviatoslav Pohrebnoi, Chairman of Room 8 Group, the company demonstrated its capacity to expand and strengthen its positions in the video game industry despite global instability by launching a new brand and closing two significant mergers and acquisitions in 2022.
