Broadcaster Dan Walker  said the bike helmet he was

wearing in the car accident saved my life while he was

recovering at home. Walker revealed he was knocked off his

bike by a car on Monday and posted a photo of himself with

paramedics. The 45-year-old former BBC breakfast

presenter shared a photo of himself with bruises and  a

thumbs up, adding that he had no memory of being hit by a

car. Walker, who left the BBC last year to become the

presenter of 5 News on Channel 5, told  his Instagram

followers: Just returned from hospital, beaten and injured

but surprisingly unhurt. He also thanked the police, NHS

and Ambulance for their help and said none of his bones

were broken as he shared photos of his  face and injured

hands, his dog and the people caring for them at the
